Sharons Ride and Run started at Kapolani Community College parking lot. There were 100K, 75K, 35K & 10K bike rides. There were 10K & 5K runs that ran into Diamond Head crater. This is the only race in Hawaii that runs into Diamond Head.

The race packet for participating was filled with a key ring, frog for heating a soar part of your body, water bottle and other goodies. The refreshments afterward make this race worth the entry just for the post race breakfast. Jamba Juice smoothies and Starbucks coffee are special treats.

The medals given out to the top three in each age division brought smiles to all who recieved them. Everything about this race makes it one of the best races to do on Oahu. race results are tabulated quickly and awards do not take much time to be awarded to the deserving race participants. Ed Kemper is the race director and he does and excellent job organizing the race. He runs the 5K himself.
