Sharons Ride and Runs Race Review 2007

By Louis Tomsic

The Sharons Ride and Runs was held on January 28, 2007. This year there was a 10K run in adddition to the 5K run. The course is a hilly one that circles the Kapalani Community College Campus before heading into Diamond Head main gate circling theenterance gate before doing a somewhat out and back course that does not include a return trip to the back parking lot.

Refreshments including banana nut bread and various pastries from starbucks and jamba juice for all finishers.

I recommend this race to anyone that likes hills and it si the only course that goes into Diamond Head. A race map comes in every packet. You need to read it and ask questions if you are not sure because this course makes alot of twists and turns. That is what makes it alot of fun. If you are fast enough to lead this course make sure you know where you are going. The race director was telling everyone who wanted to listen where to go.

This race is 2 years old and one of my favorites because the race course is so unique.
